We heard some strange noises from the kitchen- it sounded like one of the cats digging through a plastic bag of rubbish for a treat. Then there were some muffled mew-mrrff-mrrff noises that sounded faintly distressed, so I went into the kitchen to find… a very silly looking object IN THE SINK, all wet and with an empty frozen peas bag on its head!!! Oh dearie me- it was poor old Moustiers (all of sixteen years old, usually starving because she won’t eat and usually freezing cold just because she is). I didn’t have the heart (or the breath iin me) to get a camera to record the outright hilarity, as it would have been too cruel. But you cannot imagine how dumb this cat looked, turning round and round in the sink, getting all wet in the porridge bowls that were soaking ready for the dishwasher. I quickly got her out, took off the offending hood and wrapped her in a towel. She recovered pretty quickly really- not before completely wetting the thigh end of my track pants and Thommo’s socks.
